Exhibition overview with the large scale Bouboulina, Lina and Arly. They are installed in the main lobby of the Brooklyn Public Library Central Building.
Monumental maple tree bowl. The piece was cut from a giant maple tree crotch section. The growth of the tree gave the bowl its shape. The maple tree was felled by Super Storm Sandy and grew in Brooklyn's Green-Wood Cemetery. Arly is 57 inches wide x 65 inches long and x 45 inches high.
Lina is cut and carved from a Red Oak tree and finished with graphite. The red oak tree was felled by Super Storm Sandy and grew in Brooklyn's Green-wood Cemetery. Lina is 34 inches wide x 68 inches tall. The sculpture is hollow and installed in sections.
